DesignByThem launches The Partridge Chair
The Partridge Chair, the first timber chair released by DesignByThem, launched at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York City this May. It is a welcome addition to the Partridge range of humble, well-made timber furniture, referencing and complementing the Partridge Stools and Tables.
We were sure to pair aesthetic considerations with function; the carefully considered backrest’s curved form is designed to fit around the user and adds a visual lightness to the chair, balancing the products sturdy base. – Nicholas Karlovasitis
The warmth of the timber has been balanced with the industrial aesthetic seen in the steel fixings and backrest. The curved shapes and linear form of the backrest are a nod to art deco styling, giving the product subtle nostalgic undertones while at the same time retaining a contemporary, Scandinavian style.
The Partridge range is available in various timbers and the steel backrest and fittings can be powder coated in any colour from the Dulux powder coat range.
